About the Event

The Rhône valley is divided into two distinct areas - the Northern Rhône starts just south of Vienne and stretches to Valence. It is here that the Syrah grape rules, supported by aromatic whites made from Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier.

The Southern Rhône, which stretches from Valence into Provence above Avignon, is flatter, hotter and wetter than the north and the wines are blended with an array of grapes - in Châteauneuf du Pape itself, up to 13 grape varieties are permitted. Grenache dominates the red wine production whereas the whites, from the same grapes as wines in the Northern Rhône give an array of styles well worth exploring.

We will be covering a considerable cross-section from this region including some of the best producers and their wines. The slightly higher ticket price reflects the quality of the bottles we will open.

Canapes will be served, please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
