The Return of the Big Year-End Tasting & Lunch

Once again, General manager Shelley has given us exclusive use of The Garden Room. The tasting will include a full 3-course menu catering for all options including the obligatory Turkey. Menus will be distributed in November, and you will be able to select your choices. As a seasoned regular, I can happily confirm the food is amazing.

So, what’s going to be opened? Well of course we’ll kick off with Champagne, and I’m thinking Bérèche, or Vouette et Sorbée as a start point. We will then take a closer look at Germany and Alsace (purely as they go so well with Christmas cuisine) – Marc Tempe Pinot Noir anybody? Other whites will be deliciously French and Rhôney, whilst reds will encompass California (of course they will!), Italy, France and maybe I’ll slip in a little Malbec from Catena for variety. I’m thinking producers will include CAMi, Pilcrow, Georges Vernay, Fontodi, Vietti and others. To top off, dessert wines and fortifieds are assured...

Everything is included and the price per head is £110. Some of our regular and loyal tasters have already bagged places, so we have eight places left to offer. It goes without saying that a fast response is needed to secure places at the table, and I look forward to hearing from you.
